BAYERN INCREASE RIBERY PRICE

Bayern Munich insist they will not sell Franck Ribery now their pre-season campaign is fully under way and have increased the Frenchman's valuation to at least 100million euros (£85m).

The playmaker has been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid, and was quoted as saying that he wanted to join the Spanish giants.

But Ribery remains at the Allianz Arena and Bundesliga runners-up Bayern are adamant that they will not sell their star asset, who is under contract until 2011.

Club president Franz Beckenbauer has said that it would take €94m (£80m) to sign the ex-Marseille ace, but general manager Uli Hoeness has gone a step further.

Hoeness insists at least 100million euros (£85m) would be required to buy Ribery, however, he maintains the German giants' were only prepared to sell before 15th July.

He told ZDF before Wednesday's victory over AC Milan in the Audi Cup: "It was known to everyone we would sell him only before the 15th (July).

"We did not get the offer we wanted. A three-digit figure (in millions). We did not get it."
